Why is it that we can have everything we desire, yet we still find something to complain about? We can pray, struggle and fight for what we want, but as soon as we get it we find something to complain about.
We may want a certain job or want to go to a certain college, yet when our lives are going exactly the way we want them to, we start focusing on the negative...what else can we fix, improve or obtain?
I don't think we can reach happiness until we realize what we need instead of want. Right now we could make a list of all of our "necessities", but even achieving those would not lead to our happiness.
In simple terms we need God...but what does that really mean? I've only begun to figure that out.
So far I know that what I think I need is not always what God wants to give me. I often try to find new ways of improving myself, thinking thats what I need, but instead of improving myself I need to let God improve me.
What I've learned is that I can't improve or better anything in my life without God or better yet I should let him do the improving. He knows our needs better than ourselves and although improving ourselves is beneficial in the eyes of the world, it really accomplishes nothing unless we let God improve us.
Everyday is a battle and without him, true improvement could not take place.
Blessings,
Rosalynn
